May 2026: Charnwood Borough Council has awarded a contract to IEG4, part of IEG Group, to implement a new Digital Experience Platform and an online forms suite, supporting the Council’s ongoing digital transformation programme.
Serving communities across Leicestershire, Charnwood Borough Council is committed to delivering efficient, accessible, and high-quality services to residents. As part of this commitment, the Council identified the need to modernise its customer engagement interface.
With the Council’s existing CRM platform being discontinued this year, this created an urgent requirement for a new, modern, flexible solution that could better support both citizens and staff, while enabling a more seamless digital experience.
Following a procurement process, Charnwood Borough Council has selected IEG4 for its proven ability to deliver intuitive, integrated digital solutions. The new platform offers a dynamic and easy-to-navigate portal and CRM, designed to integrate effectively with the Council’s existing systems and suppliers.
This approach will enable the Council to streamline processes, improve accessibility, and enhance overall service delivery.
Implementation of the new system is already underway, with a phased rollout planned to ensure continuity of service. A key milestone will see elements of the system go live later in the year, aligning with the end of support for the Council’s current platform.
Stephen Ferry, CEO of IEG Group, said:
“Charnwood Borough Council has a clear vision for delivering modern, user-friendly digital services, and we are delighted to support them on this journey. As Local Government continues to navigate reorganisation, the focus must be on stabilising, simplifying, and creating strong digital foundations. Our platform enables councils to streamline services today while building the flexibility and integration needed to adapt, collaborate, and evolve for the future; helping reconfigure entire service ecosystems around intelligence, automation, and better human outcomes.”
Russell Clarke, Head of Revenues, Benefits and Customer Experience at Charnwood Borough Council, said:
“We are pleased to be working with IEG4 to deliver a modern CRM and digital platform that will significantly improve how our residents access services and interact with us. This investment is a key step in our wider digital transformation, ensuring we can provide more efficient, responsive, and accessible services now and in the future.”
