Windows 7 is here, and we're ready, we have been using Windows 7 and internet explorer 8, in our business and in our development team for a few weeks with no issues and significant improvements in many areas.
We are please to announce the HB online web application is now available on Windows Server 2008 based on SQL Server 2008 accessed through Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 devices.
Civica OPENrevenues partnership with IEG4, to distribute the Housing Benefits Online Form, has proven hugely successful – most recently both Great Yarmouth Borough Council has committed to taking the application – which means that the total number of joint IEG4/Civica customers now reaches well into double figures.

Buckinghamshire County Council : Blue Badge
Prior to the implementation of the IEG4 solution all customer applications and process administration was managed by the Buckinghamshire County Council Adult Social Care Service. This function was largely paper based and relied heavily on manual processing of applications resulting in lengthy application lead times. Historically the service was based around an existing database solution which was found to be both onerous and lacking the comprehensive data capture functionality required in order to successfully process and administer Blue Badge Applications.
Both the utilisation of the existing database solution and a later transition to a spreadsheet derived application failed to provide sufficient enhancements or resolve the ongoing operational issues faced by Buckinghamshire County Council. Buckinghamshire County Council identified the key operational issues as;
- Paper Based Solution
- Manual Processing Of Applications
- Inefficient Working Practices
- Costly
- Lengthy Application Processing Times (In Excess Of 8 Weeks)
In order to address these issues and deliver the desired efficiency
gains Buckinghamshire County Council charged IEG4 with developing a
cutting edge yet intuitive electronic forms based solution that
would address all of their current operational issues whilst
dramatically enhancing their customer service offering.
